Testimonial on PBL
As
we are all emphasising on DEWOT for effective teaching and learning. One of the
important cornerstone under DEWOT is PBL. Under this cornerstone, we usually
designed such activities which reinforce the concept as well as provide a clear
understanding about the concept. For this section teacher need to research
activities in the form of practicals, role play, questioning etc.
Experifun kits gives lift to this section. Here under these kits,
teachers as well as students get an opportunity to explore the topic
practically and implement activities. E.g.
When experifun kit like DIGESTIVE SYSTEM KIT has been
introduced in DEWOT class, all students were engaged all through .They enjoyed
the colourful experience. They were able to very well understand how the
complex food molecules are broken down into simpler ones? Where in the different
parts of the body starch, protein and fats are digested? What is the different
ENGYMES acting on different types of food materials? With the help of kit the structure
and function of villi was also made clear.
Students started answer the exercise session which
reflected their interest and understanding level. Students were motivated to
make their own kits. I think such kits add to our effective tools and will
definitely improve the understanding of the difficult concepts in an easier and
interesting way. By making use of such kits I have realised that within one or
two sessions the students themselves started explaining the Concept. We develop
the creativity and problem solving approach among students.This enabled the students to
understand the concept with more clarity.
